Technology Risk Manager

Our client, is a challenger digital bank based in central London providing blended finance solutions to commercial and retail clients

As the Technology Risk Manager, you will be an integral part of the IT Management Team as 1st line of Defence from a risk management perspective. You will act as the sole point of contact for key elements such as IT policy governance, enterprise and IT risk acceptance. You will be responsible for providing compliance and governance expertise across all areas of the business from an IT perspective. You will execute and develop the IT Governance Program in-line with the organisations requirements and high standards.

This is a hybrid role  – working on-site in the London office for 3 days per week.

• Ensure visibility, escalation and management of IT risks within the delivery of technology services
• Monitor and meet key performance indicators (KPI’s) and key risk indicators, ensuring to escalate any breaches in triggers to IT Management Team
• Responsible for governance and oversight
• Implement and mature the IT Governance program in-line with company standards and requirements
• Support the management of ISO27001 controls testing and ITIL 4 Service Practises
• Maintain the supporting program framework, charters and processes
• Analyse and advise on the performance against established risk tolerance and performance objectives
• Develop and implement processes to assess and/or monitor the effectiveness of the IT procedures to ensure that you are adhering to company standards and policies as required
• Build and develop frameworks and procedures to guarantee that the IT activities assist and adhere to business objectives within the established risk tolerance
• Keep abreast of new and emerging guidance, conduct gap analysis and lead the IT team in-line with guidance developments
• Work collaboratively with supporting corporate and compliance oversight functions to identify and implement consistent and effective approaches to risk governance and control-based activities.
• Maintain strong and effective working relationships with all areas of Risk Management
• Undertake transformational projects in-line with the organisation’s “Digital Bank” vision – this will integrate new capability with service practises from new platform technologies being delivered in 2023

• 4+ years of experience in a similar IT Risk role, preferably within Financial Services
• Demonstrated experience and qualification in ITIL 4 Service Practices
• Experience of ISO27001
• Experience of using Resolver (beneficial)
• Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of IT risk governance, controls and frameworks including managing data within risk management tools
• Strong initiative and problem solving skills – able to make decisions and act independently
• Keen to keep abreast of new emerging guidance
• Confidently able to provide oversight to support organisation
• Fluent written and verbal English, able to confidently communicate with stakeholders and people of all levels
