Northreach have proudly partnered with one of the UK’s most exciting and innovative FinTech’s in the Alternate Finance space looking to hire a number of Payments Operation Specialists to join on a permanent basis. The role will play a key part of the operations function, helping to support the operations of funding before executing successful payments to clients of loans, and setting up of operations of payments back into the business.

The role will be based out of the Holborn office, on a permanent, full-time basis (Mon-Fri 8:30am to 5:30pm, with occasional weekend work) on a hybrid working model (3 days in office / 2 days remote).

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • In line with the agreed deadlines, carry out the execution of payments, including both Faster & International Payments,on a daily basis
  • Carry out the reconciliation of incoming payments within the agreed time scales
  • Carry out thorough investigations of payment queries and correctly resolve any issues that may arise (i.e. rejections, bounce-backs, etc.)
  • Liaise with colleagues and external parties to promptly and effectively answer any payment related queries
  • Ensure service provided is to a high standard and make recommendations to improve and streamline processes and interactions.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the in-house systems and platform.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects and goals in accordance with engagement and requirements.
EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR (E – Essential P – Preferred)
  • Working knowledge of the reconciliation processes and high level of attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of AML requirements
  • A background working in the financial services space, ideally within a fast-paced FinTech environment
  • Able to work under pressure, hit deadlines and maintain a high quality of work
  • Able to work independently, take ownership of personal responsibilities while collaborating with the wider team as and where required
  • Strong processing & analytical skills, with the ability to apply critical thinking
  • Competent with key MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc)
