Head of Credit

Northreach have proudly partnered with one of the UK’s most exciting and innovative FinTech’s in the Embedded Finance space looking to hire a Credit Decisioning Manager to join on a permanent basis.

The Credit Decisions team is pivotal within the business responsible for deal approvals, allocating appropriate exposures, and pricing the terms of each deal flowing through the pipeline. The critical responsibility would be to lead a team of 25 Credit Decision Analysts and Associates – be responsible for growth of the team, training, mentoring, and tracking performances with the help of data.

• Hire, manage and mentor a team of credit decision analysts and associates (currently around 25 with the vision of growing)
• Improve the functions efficiency through data focussed performance management and incentives, getting the best out of people and cultivating an excellent team atmosphere and environment
• Work closely with other departments to improve the decisioning and application completion process by looking closely at funnel data, systems and where automation can be utilised

• Experienced in managing a team – ideally 20+
• Excellent people and stakeholder management
• Prior experience in management underwriting/credit decisioning teams (ideally in small business lending products, cash advances very ideal)
• Highly adaptable, organised and reliable
• Confidence in interpreting data, working with numbers and presenting findings, and making fact-led decisions
• Great track record of achieving
• Ideally experience in a fast-paced FinTech environment

The role will be based out of the Holborn office, on a permanent, full-time basis on a hybrid working model (3 days in office / 2 days remote).
