Northreach have partnered with a well-established lender based in London who are on the hunt for a Commercial Manager to support with the development and implementation of effective commercial strategies and plans. Alongside this, the Commercial Manager will support with the advancement of new external partnerships and card products to provide sustainable growth for the bank.

This role operates on a hybrid working model, so candidates from the North of England will also be considered, due to multiple office locations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure a strong understanding of the commercial development plan and strategy
  • Connect with core stakeholders throughout the business to maintain alignment and drive delivery, whilst monitoring the key output KPI’s (customer success, conduct metrics and profit & loss)
  • Regular horizon scanning of the external landscape, keeping abreast with developments, reviewing trends to identify threats and opportunities for the Cards Business
  • Continuously ensure that innovative partnerships and new products/propositions meet the needs of the bank’s target customers, complying with regulatory/reputational requirements – includes tracking and monitoring these goals
  • Produce business cases to support with strategy proposals
  • Influence key stakeholders in alignment with strategy
  • Prioritise and organise competing responsibilities
  • Build close and highly effective working relationships with stakeholders across departments
  • Utilise company CRM and processes to support with the integration activities with external partners
EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR (E – Essential P – Preferred)
  • 4+ years experience within financial services – ideally in a product or commercial function
  • Strong understanding of the customer journey for credit cards and the commercial/customer outcomes that are part of the credit card product overall
  • Able to influence and manage stakeholders
  • Able to collaborate efficiently across departments
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Highly capable of working independently and managing multiple projects
  • Enjoys working at a fast-pace, to tight deadlines
  • Confident in interpreting and communicating data to measure and evidence outcomes and results
  • Act in an open and honest manner with a strong sense of integrity
  • Demonstrated experience of maintaining a customer-focussed approach
  • Holds a degree (or higher) within a technical discipline or equivalent experience
