Our client, a leading international bank based in Harrow are seeking an experience branch/banking professional to join as Assistant Manager.

As Assistant Manager, you report into the Head of Branch Operations and will manage the administrative and routine functions of the Branch Operations Department within SLAs, TAT and ensuring compliance with appropriate policies and procedures in the bank.

This is a full time, permanent position that requires 5 days per week on-site.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and oversee the Branch Operations team (specifically Account Opening team – ensuring that all staff are provided with the resources and training required to optimise staff performance as per agreed TATs and SLAs)
  • Manage YONO and the online account portal, supplying backend support to branches
  • Manage the SCV file production, verifying and ensuring maximum compliance with SCV at all times
  • Manage HMRC annual tax returns, tax certificates and other activities tax related matters for the branch
  • Manage printing of statements, welcome letters and other ad hoc documentation
  • Accountable for vendor management – co-ordinating with vendors for welcome kit deliveries and cheque issuances, ensuring that proper approvals and sign-offs are in place before processing of any invoice or activity
  • Handle all queries from the Internal Audit Department, ensuring prompt and suitable resolutions whilst implementing systems to mitigate against recurring errors
  • Manage the chequebook issuance to branches and allocate cheque series on Finacle
  • Accountable for the preparation and submission of all pertinent management reports
  • Ensure the Omni Flow and Finacle ‘Q’s’ are cleared by COP each day
  • Ensure that that UATs are completed within SLAs and in compliance with the business requirements
  • Accountable for improving and implementing processes and procedures for optimising department productivity across the branch
  • Document and implement guidelines for all new processes and functions
  • Strive to minimise department errors and maintain quality when opening accounts
  • Ensure that filing and archival of all forms are within agreed TATs and in compliance with procedures
  • Ensure total department compliance with AML/KYC and Sanctions requirements of the bank
  • To act as the change agent, managing change within the department and ensuring seamless transitions to new processes and functions
  • Manage any queries/concerns that are escalated from branches and the call centre
  • Manage debit card, INB ID and PIN/Passwords insurance and inventory
  • Regularly check UKRM and send to branches daily in specified time slots
EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR (E – Essential P – Preferred)
  • Previous experience in and knowledge of branch operations
  • Demonstrated experience of managing a team – co-ordinating workflow, analyse quality of work, training and development, performance reviews
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Finacle
  • Strong knowledge of banking related processes and procedures
  • Conversant with banking regulations and the AML/KYC procedures of the bank
