Northreach are proud to have partnered with a leading software organisation based in Lincoln who are on the hunt for a temporary Accounts Recievable Clerk to work on a 6 month global finance project.

As the Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will report into the Global Billing Manager and be responsible for contacting existing customers and collecting payment on overdue invoices. This position is pivotal to month-end and year-end accounting processes, so you will work closely with the Billing and Cash Applications Team to ensure customer accounts are accurate and timely.

This is a 6 month temporary position with the potential for perm, on a hybrid working model with the occasional evening and weekend working (overtime pay provided).

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collect overdue or delinquent customer invoices/accounts
  • Review/clean-up of unapplied cash
  • Respond to customer inquiries relating to account issues, striving to reconcile customer accounts and disputes
  • Perform monthly reviews of customers with old outstanding balances
  • Collaborate closely with in-house Legal Counsel and 3rd party collection agencies to collect on delinquent accounts
  • Communicate with Sales, Billing and Cash Applications departments regarding collections and customer account related issues
  • Respond to incoming customer correspondence (calls and emails)
  • Provide monthly commentary with Business Unit Leaders
EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR (E – Essential P – Preferred)
  • 6+ months experience in collections (ideally within B2B collections)
  • Confident communicator to customers and across departments (Sales, Finance, Accounting, Customer Support) – both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail – able to produce accurate and high-quality work
  • Experience in recording data in relation to collection efforts
  • Advanced experience in customer service
  • Strong work ethic with a desire to get results
  • Persistent approach, able to overcome obstacles in relation to customer relations
  • Highly organised, able to prioritize workload
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience of using SalesForce (desirable)
  • NetSuite experience (desirable)
  • Advanced Excel skills (desirable)
